Research Centre for Greek Singing [ER.K.E.T.] - Profile

The Research Centre for Greek Traditional Folk Singing (ERKET) reflects the common effort of collaboration of scientists, researchers and artists who delve into the Greek traditional folk singing. It is a non-profit association and its main aims are research, education, archiving and cultural development. 

ERKET is run by a five member board of directors elected by the assembly of members every four years. Individuals, Greek or foreign as well as legal entities involved in the scientific and research subjects can become members of the Centre. Members are elected by decision of the Board of Directors after an application in writing also signed by two existing members of the Association, accompanied by curriculum vitae of the candidate member. The application can be downloaded in the form of doc or pdf document and sent electronically to  erket-mail or sent by post to the address “ERKET, 51c, G. Ventouri St, 15562 Holargos, Athens, Greece.
